When and where does the conference take place?
ECI Conference Madrid 2027 runs from 31 March to 2 April 2027 at the Ilustre Colegio Oficial de Médicos de Madrid (ICOMEM), Calle de Santa Isabel, 51, 28012 Madrid, Spain.
Who should attend?
The conference welcomes professionals, researchers, families and policymakers working in early childhood intervention across Europe and beyond.
How much does registration cost?
Fees are grouped by profile: Family, Professional/Researcher, or Student. Professional and Researcher rates are further adjusted for lower-income countries. See the Conference Fees page for your personalised rate.
Is there an early bird discount?
Yes. Early bird pricing is available for the Professional/Researcher category until 15 November 2026.
Is there a reduced rate for lower-income countries?
Yes. Professionals and researchers based in lower-income countries (including several Central and Eastern European economies) qualify for a reduced rate. Full country groupings are listed on the Conference Fees page.
How do I submit an abstract?
Submissions open 6 July and close 01 November 2026 via the online form — no account required. Read the Author Guide and submit at the Call for Abstracts page.
What are the abstract word limits?
Oral communications and posters: 180 words. Symposia: 500 words. The submission form includes a live word counter.
How are abstracts reviewed?
Every abstract is reviewed double-blind by two members of the international scientific committee, scored against six criteria including relevance, originality and methodological rigour.
What themes does the programme cover?
Five tracks: families and natural environments; equity and social inclusion; quality and transdisciplinary practice; innovation and technology; and professional wellbeing and leadership.
Is the venue accessible?
Yes. ICOMEM features fully step-free accessible entrances, accessible restrooms, and elevators, and is centrally located a 4–5 minute walk from Antón Martín or Estación del Arte (Metro Line 1).
What language is the conference held in?
The conference is held in English. AI-powered support technology will be available on-site, allowing attendees to access the content in the language of their choice.
